Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and great maneuverability. The compact fold that can be folded with just one hand makes it simple to transport. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a large storage bin and canopy. Baby suitability: Yes, with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleep over).
A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires can help you to navigate the rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, although you should wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.
Ickle Bubba Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent option for parents looking for a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. The travel system comes with a lie flat carrycot for infants as well as an adjustable rear and forward facing pushchair seat.
The XL Air is a really impressive buggy and it's simple to see why it has received such high praise from customers. It's extremely light - the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg - and it's also extremely simple to construct. I was able get it up and running in just five minutes. That's remarkable considering it also includes attaching fabric for the carrycot.
It has a comfortable, wide seat that is comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very easy to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of space, and I am impressed that the handle bar comes with a pocket to keep your keys and phone safe.
The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material, and is easy to clean.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is designed for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on forest and field trails and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked to give you more flexibility. The stroller comes with five-point safety harnesses with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child secure on all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller in place while you rest. The comfortable seat is simple to recline to a lying position, and the canopy opens to reveal with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.
No matter if you're taking short jogs or a hike that lasts a while The Runner is ready to join you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets and crowded sidewalks, and the stroller folds up easily to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than some competitors and therefore it may not suit shorter parents but overall, it's a sturdy and versatile stroller that's worthy of consideration for families with active kids.
Red Kite Push Me Pace
Red Kite's Pace is a great product from the budget-friendly British brand. They are renowned for their simple, well-designed products that are essential to parents. It's the most recent - and priciest - addition to their bargain lightweight stroller collection. It's also like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo it's car seat-compatible so that you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).
The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including a rose-gold shade on the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really make it stand out. The grey, tan and cream fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are fashionable and there's the option of adding the leather cover handle and bumper bar as well.
The stroller seat is used from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg. It converts easily into a 2-in-1 reversible position, either facing the parent or world-facing. The stroller seat offers multiple lie back positions, softly padded leg rests and comes with an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, viewing through flaps and an adjustable sun visor.
What's more, when it's folded, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. Two buttons on either side are easy to utilize and press to lock it in place.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Designed to be the ultimate all-terrain pushchair, Bugaboo's new Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it much more mobile than its predecessor. I tested it alongside my two kids - an infant and an eight-week old - across the rocky roads along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.
The puncture-proof wheels are big - 22cm and 30cm - so they can cope with lots of different terrains. The wheels come with a flap that can be opened or closed to let air in when required. It's a bit bigger than some pushchairs but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you're pushing it across bumpy surfaces.
The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt at ease using it in busy city streets. It comes with accessory points so you can attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags or snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. It's a single stroller, however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child more legroom. It took around 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to convert it into the seat.
UPPAbaby Ridge
Whether you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit walk in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a shared experience. This all-terrain stroller was designed to keep you and the child active.
The massive 12" and 16" foam-filled tires provide a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension is patented, allowing you to glide along trails with little impact on your child's legs as well as rear. The durable performance disc hand brake allows you to stop quickly, even when jogging downhill.
From bustling farmers markets to street performers singing, the Ridge navigates all your city's most popular scenes effortlessly. The spacious basket can hold all your essentials and market purchases, while the huge canopy provides sun and wind protection. The front canopy can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to monitor your baby.
The Ridge's reversible seats allows you to choose whether your child faces you, or the world ahead. Its simple foot brake system makes it intuitive for new parents. The reversible handlebar on the back is a fantastic feature that allows you to adjust it to suit your height. The Ridge's fold, unlike many strollers for jogging, is sturdy and self-standing when folded.
iCandy Core
The new iCandy pushchair is packed with features that will impress parents. 3 wheel pushchair has a Multi-Mode Wheelbase and a pioneering LED Visibility Hub Light that's a first for the industry. It comes with a built-in Ride-on Board that saves on future costs, and allows tired toddlers to accompany their parents on outings.
The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with the most popular car seats, such as those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, meaning it will last your baby's first years and beyond. As with all iCandy pushchairs, this one is luxuriously constructed and comes with high-end knitted jersey fabrics. The handlebar that parents can adjust and the child's removable bumper bar are made of soft leatherette. The fold-away calf support is also super comfortable for children.

It was amazing how quickly it folded and collapsed even with the seat unit attached. And it fits easily into the boot or hallway, making it perfect for travel. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, including an iCandy Core-branded changing rucksack and footmuff/liner.
